Designer Shantall Lacayo showcased her 2018 Resort collection at Miami Fashion Week on June 2nd. She has been Latin American’s designer to watch since her appearance on “Project Runway Latin America,” where she branded herself as a Project Runway finalist. The rising star did not disappoint and gave the fashion followers exactly what they had been anticipating…Fashion meets Art!
The collection that hit the runway was inspired by the most famous Nicaraguan poets, Pablo Antonio Cuadra, known for his avant garde artwork and graphics. Shantall’s fashion forward collection was sexy, daring, eye catching, modern and of course avant-garde, yet functional and very wearable.
The modern art, haute-couture collection could walk right off the runway, into the streets for a day and/or a night out on the town. The one-of-a-kind pieces Shantall created were high-fashion, everyday wear that the fashion world will embrace and continue as she creates a name for herself in the fashion industry.
